In a call for justice over the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called MohBad, celebrities and fans of MohBad will begin a protest today at Paneke Skating Ground in Akure, Ondo State, a poster sighted on Instagram reveals.
According to the poster, the Lagos leg of the protest being championed by the celebrities will take place on Wednesday at Elegushi Beach, Victoria Island.
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, who is leading the Lagos leg of the protest, said her NGO, Pinkies Foundation, would send a letter to the state government ahead of the march on Wednesday.
The actress made the news during an Instagram live session, inviting celebrities from throughout the country to join the demonstration.
She also urged Governor Sanwo-Olu to hold those responsible for Mohbad’s death accountable.
She said, “Governor Sanwo-Olu, I want you to use your good office, sir. We need you to see to it that all these investigations are carried out. We don’t want an audio investigation. Mohbad was everybody’s child.
“We failed him when he was alive; we do not need to fail him in death. He cried out, but a lot of us didn’t listen to him. This was why he had to pay the ultimate price. Ensure that justice is served in this case.”
MohBad’s untimely demise has raised many questions from many quarters, with some alleging his death was unnatural.
As a result, Chronicle NG reports that a Nigerian lawyer, Festus Ogun, has written the Attorney General of Lagos State, Moyosore Onigbanjo, requesting a coroner’s inquest into the suspicious death of the Nigerian singer.
