The new Premier League side, Nottingham Forest are close to signing Nigeria international, Emmanuel Dennis, from Watford this summer.
The newly promoted Premier League are on the verge of adding another Nigerian to their squad, after signing Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin.
Dennis Emmanuel, 24, is currently in the list of the most sought after football youngsters in the world, after putting up a dazzling performance with the relegated Watford side last season, scoring 10 and creating 6 assists.
Dennis began his career at Kwara Football Academy Ilorin, located in Kwara State, Nigeria but in 2016, Dennis signed with Ukrainian Premier League club Zorya Luhansk.
One season after, Club Brugge announced on 30 May 2017 that they had signed Dennis on a four-year-deal for a fee of €1.2 million.
After an impressive start to life in Belgium, Dennis Emmanuel’s form dipped which caused him to join Bundesliga side FC Köln on 25 January 2021.
Although he made only nine league appearnaces during his time in Germany, his talent was there for all to see.
On 21 June 2021, Watford confirmed they had reached an agreement with Club Brugge for the transfer of Dennis. A five-year contract was signed two days later.
Despite scoring 10 goals in 35 appearances for Watford, Dennis Emmanuel could not help keep them in the Premier League last season.
