Following the victory, manager Luis Enrique spoke about Mbappé’s injury. Ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Oct. 4.
“It’s not a very serious problem, but it was painful,” Erinque told reporters. “It would have been smarter to leave the field to protect yourself. But I don’t think it matters. It was a blow, and everything is fine in the end.”
