Bronny James, the eldest son of LA Lakers superstar LeBron James, is in stable condition after suffering a cardiac arrest during practice with his college basketball team, multiple US media reports said on Tuesday.
Bronny James, 18, collapsed on the court while training with his University of Southern California teammates on Monday, reports said, citing a statement from the James family.
According to the statement released by the James family, “Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest.”
“Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in the ICU.
“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update the media when there is more information.”
Bronny recently took another step on his career journey, following in his father’s footsteps by choosing to wear his iconic No. 6 at USC for his freshman year.
