Chukwueze to join AC Milan for €20m
The much-anticipated transfer of Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze to Milan is almost complete, as the Italian giants have successfully closed discussions with Villarreal, and the Nigeria international is expected to undergo medicals on Tuesday.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the agreement is almost complete, with only minor administrative details to be sorted within the next few hours.
The final arrangements are likely to be worked out today once Chukwueze completes the medicals, opening the path for contract signings and formal transfer confirmation.
According to sources, the transfer fee is hefty at €20 million, with an additional €8 million in performance-related bonuses. Chukwueze’s current contract with Villarreal was set to expire at the end of the current season, adding to the urgency of finalizing the deal.
The 24-year-old attacker is on the verge of signing a five-year contract with Milan worth €3.6 million, cementing his status as the club’s latest recruit to improve their offensive power, joining Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor.
Chukwueze is due to arrive in Italy on Tuesday for medicals, the final step before he begins his adventure as a proud Rossoneri.
