Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said on Thursday that there was still time for the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, “to actualize their presidential aspirations after President (Bola) Tinubu’s second-term tenure in 2031.”

The ruling party’s head also praised the Supreme Court’s judgement, which maintained Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.

Ganduje stated in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Edwin Olofu, on Thursday that the judgement put to rest all opposition political parties’ assertions that votes in the presidential election were rigged in Tinubu’s favour.

He noted that the Supreme Court decision would now allow Tinubu to focus on fulfilling the APC’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda for the benefit of Nigerians.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us; it is our responsibility as patriots to pull our resources together to move the country forward.

“I congratulate both Atiku and Obi for their dogged fight to extend the frontiers of our democracy and law.

“This is democracy. Tinubu’s victory is another victory for democratic rule in the country.

“There is still room for both Obi and Atiku to actualize their presidential aspirations after the second-term tenure of President Tinubu in 2031,” he said.

Ganduje also urged Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to rally behind the president in order for him to provide more democratic dividends and lead the country towards long-term growth.
