FG closes Sahad Stores over hoarding, high price

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, or FCCPC, has closed Sahad Stores, a famous supermarket in Garki, Abuja.

The supermarket’s management was accused of shortchanging customers by charging prices that differed from those displayed on the shelves.

The development happened twenty-four hours after President Bola Tinubu revealed efforts to combat elements responsible for the food scarcity.

Adamu Ahmed Abdullahi, acting executive vice chairman of the FCCPC, led the enforcement effort.

On the sidelines of the event, Abdullahi informed journalists that the commission’s preliminary inquiry indicated that the management of Sahad stores was shortchanging customers.
