The founder of DAAR Communications Limited, owners of AIT Radio and TV stations, Chief Raymond Dokpesi was arrested by the Police in the United Kingdom. According to multiple reports in Nigeria on Sunday, Dokpesi was arrested at Heathrow Airport in London. It was not clear yet why he was arrested. The news platform, The Whistler, which broke the story, reported that Dokpesi was arrested on arrival at Heathrow Airport. One Akpan Okon Akpan, a roadside petrol seller, has been arrested for allegedly setting ablaze his friend following a disagreement over a phone charger, the police in Akwa Ibom have said. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was able to recoup approximately N13 billion as the proceeds of unauthorized payments made between 2017 and 2021 under the subsidy regime. The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Mobile) Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi has sentenced a fake LASTMA officer, David Oluchkwu to 4-month jail term.
