Amobi Paulinus Ezeaku has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu by Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah.
The Flying Antelopes’ Nobert Okolie, the organization’s media and communications officer, announced the appointment in a statement.
The appointment was made, according to Okolie, in a release issued on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, by Professor Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the Enugu State Government, who also appointed twelve other people to boards and parastatals around the state.
According to the statement, the appointments are effective right away.
When Rangers finally won the NPFL and Aiteo cups in 2016 and 2018 after more than three decades of waiting, Ezeaku, a lawyer who had just finished his studies and obtained UEFA and FIFA Masters credentials in club management, was the team manager.
Numerous supporters of the seven-time league champions of Nigeria believe that his appointment will help them reclaim their club’s former status as one of the best in Africa and Nigeria.
