Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen has reportedly been left off the team’s squad list for the season after failing to seal a move to Chelsea on deadline day.
The Super Eagles striker was heavily linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge on Friday, but despite the Blues making a late offer to sign him, they could not get a deal over the line in time.
However, Osimhen remains a Napoli player for now, but he is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans, having not featured at all for the Italian club in the opening weeks of the season.
In a statement on X by Fabrizio Romano on Saturday, he said, ”Napoli have officially excluded Victor Osimhen from their Serie A squad list for the season.
”Osimhen and Mario Rui are both out, as Napoli considers them out of the project.
”Relationship broken with both players. They also want to leave, but on their terms.”
