The game against Bournemouth was suspended after Luton captain Tom Lockyer collapsed to the ground.
The 29-year-old was spotted falling face-first to the ground with no one near him.
As the medical staff worked on Lockyer, Luton manager Rob Edwards raced onto the ground to try to get his men away from the sight.
Spectators in the stands screamed Tom Lockyer’s name when the game was called off with less than 60 minutes remaining as the score was tied at 1-1.
The Welsh international was then carried off the pitch on a stretcher.
In addition, the Welsh international collapsed during the Championship play-off final at Wembley in May 2023, as Luton Town defeated Coventry City to achieve promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their existence.
He has been a motivating leader in their ascension to the top flight.
