West Ham are the other Premier League side left in the Europa League, and the 2021–22 semi-finalists will lock horns with Bundesliga high-flyers Bayer Leverkusen, who are on a 37-game unbeaten run across all competitions.
West Ham secured passage to the quarterfinals with a 5-0 thrashing of Freiburg at the London Stadium after losing the first leg in Germany 1-0.
As for Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen, they booked their spot in dramatic fashion as two stoppage-time goals from Patrik Schick completed a second-leg comeback against Qarabag from 2-0 down and secured a 5-4 win on aggregate.
And there is also a mouth-watering all-Italian Europa League clash as AC Milan and Roma do battle for a place in the semis, with the Serie A giants easing past Slavia Prague and Brighton in their respective last-16 ties.
