Chelsea star Cole Palmer has shown support for Nigerians amid the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest in the country.
Chronicle NG reports that the ”hunger protest” commenced on Thursday with youths in their numbers flooding the streets all over the country.
The movement reflects the voice and will of the Nigerian people, especially the youths, against the untold hardship bedevilling the people as a result of the policies of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
Some states, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, participated in the protest.
However, destruction and vandalization of properties broke out in some states like Kano, Borno, and Yobe, which resulted in their governors declaring curfew.
Reacting to the development, Palmer, in a tweet on his X account, wrote, “In support of our Nigerian brothers and sisters. #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.”
The 22-year-old Englishman was instrumental in his team reaching the finals of the 2024 Euro tournament.
The Chelsea star scored a goal in the final, but it was not enough to stop Spain from becoming champions.
