Why I brought contractors to Buhari – Fr Mbaka

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka and President Muhammadu Buhari

Fiery Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, has explained why he took three ‘contractors’ to see President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mbaka, the founder of Adoration Ministry, disclosed this during a sermon at the Ministry in Enugu.

He was reacting to a statement by Garba Shehu, President Buhari’s spokesperson that his recent attack against the government is because Federal Government denied him the contracts he lobbied for.

The presidency accused Father Mbaka of lobbying the President’s favour by bringing three contractors during his (Mbaka’s) visit to Aso Rock.

But Mbaka described the accusation against him as laughable and childish as the three men he took to the presidency were men with facilities to fight insecurity.

He, however, thanked Shehu for telling the world now that the Federal Government is not paying or giving him anything even as he charged him to challenge the problems rocking the country.

The priest also warned against speaking ill of anointed men of God.

He said:“I am a messenger of God, so you should be stupid to be attacking a messenger from God no matter who you are. God is above all of us. You don’t feel happy that God is revealing secrets to you; instead of destroying you silently, he decided to inform you where you are not doing well. So why should Mbaka be attacked by any reasonable human being?

“Whether you call your name Shehu or what, there is no need for that. I don’t explain what I have said once it is from the Oracle of God. Nigeria is a country where you say the truth and get attacked by crocodiles who want to eat the fishes in the fish pond.

“All those attacking men of God are crocodiles, but God is ready for them. I am not discouraged, I have been waiting for them to challenge anything I say. You allow the truth to be hidden then you start attacking the person who said the truth. You don’t attack the messenger.

“Challenge the truth whether there is insecurity in the country or not, whether there are good hospitals in the country or not. God loves us so much and saved us from coronavirus, but our leaders are the coronavirus we are suffering from.

“Are we not hungry? Are there employment opportunities for the youths as it ought to be? The money they are packing for election if they use it to build industries, wouldn’t our youths have places to work?

“They talked about giving Fr Mbaka a contract. I don’t want to talk about that because it is a laughable childish accusation. Whoever is saying that is a shame to himself and shame to the people he is representing.

“Fr Mbaka’s voice came from the spiritual so what I’m saying is unchallengeable. While I was in silence, I was waiting for them to change until God said I should speak. There are messages that are like thunder; anybody who is challenging that message is challenging the God of thunder and should be careful.

“The person challenging Fr Mbaka, how many people are you feeding that I talk and you respond? Because government is paying you! Do you know how many people I am paying? So before you challenge me when I talk about employment, I’m an employer. So this is what I’m saying that leaders should join me and encourage me.

“Somebody talking about Fr. Mbaka and contract: God used the man to tell the world that Buhari’s government is not giving me money; that is how God works. Shehu, God bless you for telling everyone that you are not giving me a contract.

“The three men I brought were the men that would have handled insecurity in this country because they have the gadgets and facilities, and they came during Buhari first tenure and promised to help Nigeria conquer insecurity. They had the platform to end insecurity in this country in one month, and I handed them over to the government.

“Do they know how many widows I am paying their house rents? Or do they know how many students I am paying school fees for, home and abroad? If a priest who has no biological child can be doing all this, the Federal Government should do more,” he said.
