Song Jae-Rim, a South Korean actor best known for his performance in the K-drama The Moon Embracing the Sun, was found dead in his Seoul flat on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Born 18 February 1985, the popular actor died at the age of 39.
Seoul’s Seongdong Police Station verified the discovery, noting that no proof of foul play has been found thus far.
“Currently, there is no evidence of foul play,” an official from the police station stated.
According to Soompi, a two-page letter was found at the scene. As of the time of reporting this article, the cause of his death has not been revealed.
Song Jae-Rim, who made his acting debut in 2009 with Actresses, rose to prominence as Kim Jae-woon’s faithful bodyguard in The Moon Embracing the Sun, co-starring Kim Soo-hyun.
He proceeded to advance his career by appearing in many Korean dramas and films, including Queen Woo earlier this year.
He also had two planned projects: I Will Become Rich and Death Business.
