Police warn ladies against ‘Hook-Up’

The Ogun State Police Command has advised women to be wary of the risks connected with ‘hooking up’ with strangers. 

A ‘hook up’ is defined as meeting someone new or someone you already know and having sexual intercourse most often for financial rewards.

This was revealed in a post by the police on its official X account on Tuesday.

The caption read, “Avoid being a victim of ritual killing: Hook up and its dangers!

“You may go and never return. Girls, wake up! Young girls, do you know who you are being hooked up to?

“That person may exchange your beautiful head for peanuts. All that glitters is not gold!”

According to reports, young women suspected to be commercial sex workers loitered around major shopping malls and highbrow streets in Lagos to lure prospective customers.
