Kaduna police arrest kidnapper, recover weapon

The Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has warned against non-medical persons possessing medical tools, stating that it is illegal and punishable by law.

Adejobi issued this warning on Thursday in response to an X user who inquired about the legality of owning syringes.

The X user asked, “PoliceNG, I was handcuffed yesterday and asked to bail myself because I was having two syringes and Petri dishes in my bag. Is this a crime?”

Adejobi, in his reaction, said, “Are you a medical practitioner? We need to know a lot about you so that we know how to handle this.

“If you are not, they should have arraigned you, let alone bailing you or demanding bail money at all. I have an interest in the case. We need to know the policemen who even compromised in the first instance.

“These are used for so many things, and it’s a case of unlawful possession, possibly impersonation, etc.”
