The Ogun Police Command arrested Gadafi Bala, 24, on Thursday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Ogija, Ogun State.

According to the force, the division police officer went to the victim after receiving the report and issued a medical report that supported the claims.

On Friday, March 29, the force Public Relations Officer, Eleweran Abeokuta, Omolola Odutola, published a statement on the X account of the Ogun Police Command.

The statement reads: “A report was received from Ifesowapo Otitoloju CDA in Ilara Ogijo that a 14-year-old female student, a JSS 1 student of Aderegun Community High School, OGIJO, was rapped by one Gadafi Bala “m,” aged 24 years old, on the 28th of March 2024.

“As soon as the Division Police Officer Ogijo received the report, he visited the victim and issued an examination form for evaluation, which proved positive that one Gadafi had unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim.

“Sequel to the result being confirmed by a doctor of a government-owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly arrested.

“Preliminary investigation has commenced into the matter, and the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.”
