Social media influencer Reno Omokri has opined that many people crash financially because of “early over-generosity.”
Advising against the act of “early over-generosity,” Omokri urged people to be better financially before they engage in generous acts.
The former presidential aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan made the remarks in a statement on his verified X page on Monday.
Noting that “takers have no boundaries,” Omokri added that “you must set boundaries for them, or they will overload you until you crash.”
His statement reads, “The vast majority of plane crashes occur during takeoff.” Please fact-check me. Learn from that.
“Many people crash in life just as they are about to take off financially. And the chief reason is early over-generosity.
“Not every kindness is kindness. Some are wickedness to self. If you pluck branches from a tree before it matures, that tree will die. Take off first. Attain cruising altitude. And when you do, you will be better positioned to be generous.
“Let people call you stingy. Only a broke person calls others stingy. Takers have no boundaries.
“Therefore, you must set boundaries for them, or they will overload you until you crash.”
