Ifeanyi Okowa and Datti Baba-Ahmed, vice presidential candidates for the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, respectively, said there was no transparency in the recently concluded Saturday elections.
On Tuesday, they held a joint press conference in Abuja to announce their positions.
During a joint press conference, the PDP, the LP, and the African Democratic Congress demanded that the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, step down over what they called irregularities in Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, the PDP’s vice presidential candidate, said at a press conference in Abuja that “the election was a sham, and it was never free and fair.”
