Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that no one is capable of expelling him from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
Wike stated this on Wednesday in an interview on Channel Television’s Politics Today.
When asked if he was afraid of the PDP taking disciplinary action against him, the former Rivers State governor responded, “Who is the party? Who are they?” With all due respect, I have not seen that person who will suspend me.
“Nobody will do it. Who will discipline me? I should be the one calling for the discipline of these people who violated the party’s constitution. Who dares say they will suspend me? Who is the person?”
Wike further stated that he remains a bona fide member of the PDP despite working as a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
“The party is just a vehicle. I campaigned for Tinubu during the elections, and I’m not here to party. I’m here to help President Tinubu achieve his renewed hope agenda,” Wike said.
Emphasizing that he does not regret his decision, the former governor of Rivers stated that he will work assiduously to help Tinubu achieve his renewed hope agenda.
