The founder of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore, has been arrested on Monday at the Federal High Court in Abuja as the trial of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu commenced.
According to eyewitnesses, Sowore who flouted his bail conditions was arrested on the court premises during a Facebook Live.
The Nigerian government is trying Kanu on 11 charges which include terrorism and treason.
At the resumption of his trial, tight security enveloped the court premises.
Kanu, was earlier extradited into Nigeria from Kenya after fleeing the country over two years ago.
Ten media outfits were given clearance to cover the trial of Kanu who incited violence through his broadcast on Radio Biafra and his Facebook page.
The accredited media outfits are Daily Post, ThisDay, Premium Times, The Nation, Daily Independent, The Herald, National Television Authority, Television Continental, African Independent Television and Channels Television.
