The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 481 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 481 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 42689.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 266 patients from isolation centers across the country with five new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 89 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 15043.
But it was the Federal Capital Territory that recorded the signle highest number of cases for the day with 96 news cases.
Plateau state recorded 68 new cases, Ogun reported 49 new cases while Edo, Rivers and Oyo recorded 44, 43 and 25 new cases respectively.
Other states are Osun-23, Delta-15, Enugu-11, Kano-7, Kaduna-7, Bauchi-2, Bayelsa-1 and Yobe-1.
NCDC reports that there are 42689 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 19270 discharged and 878 deaths.
