The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 356 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.
The 356 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 78,790.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 180 patients from isolation centers across the country with six new deaths reported.
The Federal Capital Territory recorded the highest number of positive cases for the day with 79 cases.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 59 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 26,767.
Kaduna state recorded 56 new cases, Katsina state reported 37, Nasarawa state had 30, Kano reported 25 while Edo announced 18 new cases.
Other states are Gombe-14, Kebbi-12, Akwa Ibom-7, Rivers-7, Sokoto-7, Abia-3, Ogun-1 and Cross River -1.
NCDC reports that there are 78,790 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 68,483 discharged and 1,227 deaths.
