Five of Najeebah Al-Kadriyar’s sisters who were kidnapped by terrorists in Abuja’s Bwari area recently were released on Saturday night.
Najeebah and her sisters were abducted on January 9, alongside their father.
However, the girls’ uncle, Kabiru Aminu, who broke the news of their freedom, released a video on his X handle, showing the sisters and their relatives celebrating.
“Najeebahah’s sisters are home right now; someone please wake me up!” he tweeted.
“These girls are strong,” he added in a follow-up tweet.
The six sisters were kidnapped recently, along with their father.
It was gathered that the kidnappers later released their father, asking him to go get a 60 million naira ransom for the release of her daughters before Friday, January 12.
The hoodlums reportedly killed Najeebah, the oldest of the six girls, and dumped her body somewhere for her parents to bury as they were unable to raise the money.
As of the time of filing this report, it could not be confirmed if the girls were rescued by security forces or released after their family paid a ransom.
