Mohammed Alkali, the Minister of Transportation, has denounced the actions taken by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in the ongoing renovation of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Rail Line.
The minister, on Friday, visited Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to view the Port Harcourt and Ouigno axis of the Eastern Narrow Gauge rail line, which is now under construction.
Mr. Alkali expressed disappointment that the foreign contractor was manually laying the tracks.
He was also dissatisfied with the work’s progress.
