The capital of Delta State, Asaba, is currently experiencing massive protests over the recently held presidential and National Assembly elections.
Youths in their hundreds can be seen screaming the name of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in a video that circulated on social media on Tuesday morning.
“This is happening live in Asaba right now,” the voice in the video announced. Whether they like it or not, the Labour Party presidential candidate must be the president of Nigeria. Our vote right now
“The Asaba youths are demonstrating right now asking that INEC should do the right (thing) and stop the ongoing rigging,” reads the video’s caption from the Labour Party presidential candidate Grassroots Mobilization.
Another tweep, Charles, who posted another video from the protest wrote, “Peaceful protest ongoing in Asaba. We will take this country back from them by God’s grace.”
