Three INEC staff regain freedom in South Warri, Delta state

Officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently trapped at the Ajayi Crowther Memorial School after being deployed to various polling units across Lokoja, Kogi State.

The officials were there to receive electoral materials for the state’s governorship elections on November 11.

Among them are NYSC members and other ad hoc workers hired by the commission to oversee the election.

Despite receiving the electoral materials, the officials are still stranded because no means of transportation to their respective polling stations is in sight.

An INEC official was overheard telling some officials that the only way they could get to their destination was if voters at polling stations arranged transportation for them.
