The Lagos State Police Command has ordered the immediate removal of the deputy police officer in charge of Okokomaiko following an extortion allegation against him.
Lagos Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa ordered his removal after a phone dealer said he was extorted of N101,000 by policemen under his supervision.
A screenshot of the transaction showed that the mney was transferred from one Onyinyechi Esther Anwusi to one Ndueso Okon Archibong.
“CP Idowu Owohunwa has ordered the immediate removal of DPO Okokomaiko for his lack of supervision of his men,” Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson said.
“CP Owohunwa has also ordered commencement of disciplinary action against him and all his indicted officers (who are already in the state headquarters).
