The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has advised youths to take advantage of social media to support the fight against corruption.
The charge was made on Friday, September 22, 2023, by ACE I Ahmed Usman, Deputy Commander, EFCC Kaduna Zonal Command, at a panel discussion on “Follow the Money”, a campus tour program at Kaduna State University organized by Connected Development and the MacArthur Foundation as part of activities to mark the Students’ Week celebration.
Ahmed enlightened the participants on how they can collaborate with the EFCC by reporting any act of corruption to the Commission through various social media platforms, including the EFCC’s Eagle Eye application.
Eagle Eye is a user-friendly application with features that are simple enough for anyone with basic literacy skills to use. The first step is to download it to your device from either Google Play or the Apple Store, Chronicle NG reports.
Also, the Eagle Eye application contributes to the ease of the whistleblowing policy of the federal government, and those that key into it will get rewards for reporting corruption.
Ahmed added that corruption was non-discriminatory in its effects and charged all citizens to embrace the fight against the common enemy.
