Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate has returned to Nigeria after about two weeks in London.
Tinubu who is officially yet to kick off his presidential campaign arrived on Thursday evening in a private jet.
There have been conflicting reports about his state of health, with the opposition insisting that he is not fit to run for office.
He was conspicuously absent at the Peace Accord signed by presidential candidates ahead of the 2023 election.
His main opponents, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of Labour Party both attended the peace signing ceremony but Tinubu was represented by Kashim Shettima, the APC vice presidential candidate.
According to a presidential poll conducted by The Economist, he is favourite to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari who will complete his two-term tenure in May, 2023.
Buhari is also a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress and his the chairman of his party’s Presidential Campaign Council.
