Bobrisky's arrest is hypocritical - Aisha Yesufu

Nigerian politician and activist Aisha Yesufu has described as hypocritical the arrest and detention of controversial Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Olarewaju Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky.

Chronicle NG reports that the cross-dresser was arrested on Wednesday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged naira mutilation.

Calling his arrest “hypocrisy,” Yesufu noted that “cross-dressers were all over Kano before” the self-acclaimed ‘mommy of Lagos’ “was conceived.”

In a statement on X on Thursday, she noted that cross-dressers are prevalent in Kano State.

“Crossdressers were all over Kano before Bobrisky was conceived.

“Bobrisky still has things to learn from the original ones in Kano who don’t need surgery to transform. Yeah, let’s continue with the hypocrisy and make it a new thing,” her statement reads.

The EFCC has disclosed that the self-acclaimed ‘Mommy of Lagos’ will be arraigned and prosecuted if found guilty of the allegations against him.
