Adeleke okays dissolution of Osun statutory commissions

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, approved the dissolution of statutory commissions in the state with immediate effect.

Members of the statutory commissions have remained in office since Adeleke took over the mantle of leadership of the state on November 27, 2022, as they have fixed tenure of office.

The governor, after announcing the dissolution of the commissions, expressed gratitude to them for the services they rendered while in office.

The affected commissions are; the state Civil Service Commission, the Judicial Service Commission, the state Independent Electoral Commission and the state House of Assembly Service Commission.

According to a circular signed by the Secretary to the state government, Teslim Igbalaye, the dissolution takes immediate effect.

In addition, a statement issued by the governor’s spokeswoman, Olawale Rasheed, stated, “The Secretary to the State Government conveyed Mr Governor’s appreciation to members of dissolved commissions for selfless and meritorious service to the state.”
