Benzema fired home Real’s second penalty of the contest nine minutes later, with Federico Valverde netting a fourth in the second half.

Benzema’s double lifts him to sixth on Real’s all-time La Liga goals list, surpassing legendary Hungarian striker Ferenc Puskás.
The Frenchman, who scored twice in Wednesday’s 6-0 Champions League win over Galatasaray, broke the deadlock after the hosts had failed to clear Valverde’s blocked effort.
Ramos then drilled home Real’s first penalty after former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard had been brought down by Pablo de Blasis.
Benzema made it 3-0 from the spot following a foul on Lucas Vázquez, before Valverde finished off a flowing Real move to put the seal on another comprehensive win.
The result lifts Zinedine Zidane’s side above Real Sociedad and third-placed Barcelona, who will return to the top of the table if they beat struggling Celta at the Nou Camp.
