Ogun youths protest Mohbad's death, demand justice

Youths in Ogun state on Tuesday, protested peacefully in Abeokuta, the State capital, demanding justice for the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Mohbad died on Tuesday, aged 27, in an undetermined manner, prompting many Nigerians to urge an in-depth investigation.

The youngsters, dressed in black T-shirts, began the rally in the state capital’s popular Panseke market area and marched through Oke-Ilewo and other sites.

They brandished posters that read, “Justice for Mohbad,” and demanded that the “government arrest Naira Marley and Sam Larry,” among other things.

Addressing journalists, the protesters insisted that the Nigeria Police must bring the alleged suspects to book.

Some of the protesters said, “We are in pain!! Mohbad must not die in vain. We want the government to arrest Naira Marley and Sam Larry. Let them fish them out from their hiding places”.
