The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 561 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday.
The 561 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 25694.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 344 patients from isolation centers across the country with 17 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 200 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 10510.
Edo state recorded 119 new cases, Kaduna reported 52 new cases while FCT, Niger, and Ogun recorded 52, 32 and 19 new cases respectively.
Other states are Ondo-16, Imo-14, Plateau-11, Abia-8, Oyo-8, Bayelsa-7, Katsina-6, Kano-5, Bauchi-3, Osun-3, Kebbi-3, Borno-2 and Jigawa-1.
NCDC reports that there are 25694 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 9746 discharged and 590 deaths.
