The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 404 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.
The 404 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 42208.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 240 patients from isolation centers across the country with five new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 106 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 14954.
Federal Capital Territory recorded 54 new cases, Niger reported 48 new cases while Plateau, Edo and Enugu recorded 40, 29 and 21 new cases respectively.
Other states are Oyo-20, Kano-18, Ondo-15, Ogun-10, Ebonyi-9, Ekiti-8, Kaduna-6, Cross River-5, Kwara-4, Anambra-3, Delta-3, Imo-2, Nasarawa-2 and Borno-1.
NCDC reports that there are 42208 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 19004 discharged and 873 deaths.
