A Nigerian man asserted that point-of-sale (POS) operators engage in cash sales without a banking licence.
Akin Olaleye, in his ‘X” post, observed that “POS biz selling cash for a fee without a banking licence is another madness in this country I cannot fathom.
He mentioned that “they will drain the ATM machine late at night and at 7 a.m. in the morning.
They will be situated right in front of the ATM and sell you cash! Nigeria is not a real place.”
Olaleye’s anger could be traced to the unavailability of cash at bank ATMs to meet his needs.
His attempts to get cash at late nights and early mornings proved abortive, as point-of-sale cash operators have emptied the ATMs.
