The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticised the Rivers State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for seeking to force Governor Siminalayi Fubara to violate the law. The PDP condemned the members’ fresh threat to impeach Fubara as an embarrassment and a public nuisance for the state. An unspecified number of students travelling along the East-West road in Ughelli, Delta State, have been abducted by gunmen. Edafe Bright, the spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, stated that the occupants of the vehicle may have been students who were returning from their school in Calabar Cross River State on Friday night before they were abducted from the minibus they were travelling in.
