Intending railway passengers should get their National Identity Number (NIN) ready as it will be a requirement from May. Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Mr Fidet Okhiria, stated in Abuja on Thursday that the NIN would be needed to enhance the profiling of passengers. More than 920,000 people were affected by the first tropical storm to hit the Philippines this year, triggering massive landslides and floods that has claimed over 120 lives already, officials said Thursday. Police in New York City have arrested a man suspected of shooting 10 commuters in a rush hour attack at a Brooklyn subway station.
