ICPC operatives have conducted an operation that led to the recovery of over a billion naira from the former chief of army staff Tukur Buratai. The operation, conducted last week, also led to the recovery of over 50 luxury watches, including at least two Rolex varieties, from the former military commander, according to anti-graft officials familiar with the matter. Chinese electric carmaker Nio says that two people were killed when one of its vehicles fell from the third floor of its headquarters in Shanghai. In the collision, two people from the company’s partner company and one employee perished. According to the company, the accident happened on Wednesday at around 17:20 local time. Four of the nine persons on board an Ilyushin Il-76 military cargo plane were killed when it crashed and caught fire during landing on Friday near Ryazan in western Russia, according to reports from local authorities cited by the RIA news agency. According to RIA, five persons were hospitalised with injuries. The Oyo State government has revealed that plans are underway to issue identification numbers and registration jackets to commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders, in the State. Ondo state security network aka Amotekun have arrested a number of persons in connection with the killing of worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
