A gas plant has exploded near the international headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. According to information obtained by correspondents, the explosion caused panic among locals in the Mowe neighbourhood. Although not owned by RCCG, the gas plant was near to the Redemption Camp. There were reports of protests on Monday at the Kuje medium security correctional facility over the death of an inmate. The reports stated that the inmate passed away because he did not receive prompt medical assistance.
