The Ebonyi State Police Command on Friday arrested a 22-year-old rape suspect, Miracle Onwe, an indigene of Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA of the state. The Commissioner of Police, CP. A self-styled Ugandan prophet has been charged with assault, common assault and trafficking in persons. Prophet Kintu Dennis of Hoima Empowerment Church International was seen in a widely shared online video flogging members of his church. Police arrested the 42-year-old on Wednesday this week along with four other members of the church following complaints about the video. An explosion tore through a crowded mosque in western Afghanistan on Friday, killing at least 18 people. including a prominent cleric close to the Taliban, Taliban officials and a local medic said. At least 21 people were hurt. The explosion in the city of Herat left the courtyard of the Guzargah Mosque littered with bodies, the ground stained with blood, video from the scene showed. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular musician and rapper, Ice Prince, for allegedly assaulting a police officer. The singer was arrested in the early hours of Friday, according to the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin. Anambra state resident, Peter Orji, has allegedly killed his elder brother, Godwin, during an argument bordering on the payment of N1,500 electrical bill at their residence in Uruagu, in the Nnewi North Local Government Area of the the state. The Federal Road Safety Corp said it arrested over 13,000 illegal motorcycles riders and impounded about 20,000 motorcycles across the country in August. The vice-president of Argentina narrowly escaped being shot dead when the gunman’s weapon jammed as he fired at her. Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was greeting supporters outside her home when a man emerged from the crowd and pointed a handgun in her face.
