Tukur Mamu, ex-terrorist negotiator to be charged on 10 counts - FG

A Federal High Court, Abuja, has granted a prayer by the Department of State Services (DSS) to detain the former terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu, for 60 more days. Justice Nkeonye Maha, in a short ruling on the ex-parte motion moved by counsel for the DSS, Ahmed Magaji, granted the motion as prayed. The Court of  Appeal, FCT Abuja Division, on Tuesday, reserved judgement in the appeal brought before it by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, seeking dismissal of the remaining seven-count charge filed against him by the Federal Government. Some residents of Lagos State lamented the impact of heavy rainfall and the attendant floods that affected several parts of Nigeria’s commercial centre on Monday.
