A Kaduna State Magistrate Court sitting in Chediya GRA, Zaria, remanded three members of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA) for allegedly assaulting a married woman in front of her husband. Nasiru DTO, Abubakar S, Dorcas Nana, and 10 other unidentified KASTLEA employees were accused of attempting to assault the plaintiff’s wife by attorneys Aminu Yahaya and Sumayya. Secessionist militiamen attacked an army unit at Umunze, Anambra State and three soldiers were confirmed dead as well as one civilian. The attack comes barely 24 hours after a similar attack in Enugu, an adjoining state. Guinea’s oldest chimpanzee, Fana has died aged about 71, the environment ministry has said.
