Police in Ogun state have arrested three persons, including one identified as a pastor, for abducting and killing a 39-year-old man, Adekunle Muyiwa.

The suspects, Idowu Abel, Clement Adeniyi and Pastor Felix Ajadi, also dismembered Adekunle’s body for ritual purposes.

The suspects were arrested on November 19 after one Adekunle Oluwaseyi, an elder brother of the victim, reported the incident to Owode Yewa police divisional headquarters on November 15.

The older Adekunle told police that his younger brother left home since November 10 and had not returned.

Police discovered that Idowu Abel visited the missing man in his house on that fateful day and lured him out.

Detectives subsequently traced Idowu Abel and arrested him.

The state Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said yesterday that Idowu Abel confessed that the deceased was his bosom friend, and that he lured him to a farm where he was murdered and dismembered.

A herbalist was to pay Abel N200,000 if he delivered certain parts of the deceased, Oyeyemi said.
