DSS arrests Ogun lawmaker, 5 others over Sagamu cult killings

Armed officers of the State Security Service (SSS) barricaded the Lagos office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023.

The SSS officials who took siege of the premises prevented the officials of the EFCC from gaining entrance into the office located at Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

This development is not unconnected to the ongoing rivalry between both agencies over the ownership of the building.

According to sources from both agencies, there has been an ongoing feud between them over the ownership of the building.

Reacting to the closure of the premises, an official of the EFCC said “They even placed an armoured tank just to scare us away”.
