Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has been declared the winner of the Ebonyi State election.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) finished second, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished third.

The results were announced on Tuesday at the Ebonyi Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abakaliki, the state capital.

Prof Charles Igwe, Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria (UNN), announced the final results as the Collation Officer for Ebonyi State.

He claimed that Obi received 259738 votes, Tinubu received 42402 votes, and Atiku received 13503 votes.
