Lagos State government, on Tuesday, said it has concluded plans of salary increment of its public workforce by the end of this month.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who said this while addressing public servants during a working visit to the secretariat Alausa, noted that the planned salary increase was in view of the current inflation in the country while commending the workforce for their support, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also approved a 25% increase in core establishment duty allowance while announcing that before the end of the month the first phase of 100 vehicles for directors in the public service would be delivered.

The governor, who was accompanied by some of his cabinet members and the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, said his administration was committed to improving the welfare of workers and the prompt payment of pensions to retirees in the civil service.
