The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 1,479 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 1,479 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 105,478.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 1,275 patients from isolation centers across the country with 23 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 697 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 38,549.
Federal Capital Territory recorded 201 new cases, Nasarawa state recorded 80, Plateau reported 74, Rivers had 72 while Edo state reported 46 new cases.
Other states are Adamawa-43, Osun-39, Akwa Ibom-35, Delta-31, Anambra-27, Oyo-24, Kano-21, Abia-19, Enugu-19, Ogun-18, Sokoto-12, Bauchi-7, Taraba-7, Ekiti-4, Gombe-4, Imo-4, Bayelsa-2, Jigawa-2 and Zamfara-1.
NCDC reports that there are 105,478 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 83,830 discharged and 1,405 deaths.
